The Disaster Management Law

Hello Everyone, inhere, I would like to introduce and review one of the currently popular law which is related to use with the control of Novel Corona Virus (Covid-19). This law is the Disaster Management Law which has been enacted on 31 July, 2013 by Pyidaungsu Hluttaw. 

The main objective of this law is to reduce the total loss of the consequences of disaster and to immediately make response processes. This law also express the penalties in Section 25 to 31 with both imprisonment and fine. In these, the currently popular section is Section 30(a).

According to Section 30 of this Law, is stated as follows. 
Whoever commits any of the following acts or omissions shall, on conviction, be punished with imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or with fine or with both_  

(a) willful failure to comply with any of the directives of the department, organization or person assigned by this Law to perform any of the natural disaster management; 

(b) entering into the area or building affected by natural disaster without permission; 

(c) utilizing, trading, preventing or destroying food, relief items and rehabilitation materials provided for victims dishonestly; 

(d) making a false application for food, relief items and rehabilitation materials or cash assistance to the department, organization or person assigned by this Law as it is affected by natural disaster. 

Section 25 expressed the more extreme penalty which is headed on a person or group of peoples. This Section say that people who violate with this Section, he may suffer with the penalty of imprisonment of three year and also be liable to fine. This Section mean that it must be imprisoned who have convicted the violation of the conditions of this Section and the fine is depended upon the discretion of the Judge.
